Intumescent Seals for Gun Safes

RESSA intumescent seals for gun safes includes the sodium silicate based RYZW series, graphite based flexible RPB series and the waterproof EPDM seals. All intumescent seals are supplied complete with strong self-adhesive tape, for easy “peel-n-stick” application.

When fire happens or the gun safes and fire safes are exposed to heat, the fire stopping and expanding materials will expand 5times to 30times to seal the air space between the frame and gun safe door to avoid the smoke and fire spreading to the safe inside. There are no smoke and fire leakage during this period to guarantee the guns, luxury jewleries, cash and important documents inside of safe. 

The standard sizes of intumescent seals for gun safes inlcude 3x15mm width, 3x20mm width, 1x8mm width , 2x10mm width, 2x16mm width and customized sizes.

RYZW Intumesent Seals

Hydrated sodium silicate based fire seals with hard case outside. The activation temperature is around 100℃, it will expand 5 times to a rigid foam than original thickness, provide an effective barrier preventing the smoke and fire spreading inside of safes.

Suitable for use around the perimeter of gun safe door and frame, it expands 7 to 30times to seal the air space when fire happens, prevent the smoke and fire leakage to guarantee the safes of guns, luxury jewelries, cash and documents inside of gun safes.

Consisting of a high performance of intumescent fire protection compound, with a protective extruded soft plastic casing with three fins, but designed to soften and melt in the same temperature range as the core begins to expand.

Manufacturing Process of Intumescent Seals for Gun Safes

  1. Raw Material Preparation: Gather materials including different kinds of fireproof intumescent materials, self adhesive, additives… ensure material expand to meet quality standards of fire doors requirement.
  2. Mixing: Mix the raw materials according to the formula and prepare them under specific temperature and humidity conditions. This may involve blending the expanding materials with other additives to achieve the desired physical and chemical properties.
  3. Extrusion or Calendering: Use an extrusion machine or pressing machine or inserting machine to shape the mixed intumescent materials, forming the initial shape of the intermittent strips. 
  4. Cutting and Shaping: Cut the intermission strips to the specific dimensions and shapes. Precise molding may be achieved using molds or cutting tools.
  5. Quality Testing: Perform quality tests, including dimension checks, expansion performance, fire resistance, etc.for intumescent gasket.
  6. Packaging and Dispatch:Package the qualified intumescent seals and prepare them for dispatch to the market.
