If the fire door need our automatic door sweep?
In the event of a fire, the heat and flame are only running towards to the upside. RESSA intumescent strips on fire doors will expand and seal gap around the three edges between frame and door.
A gap up to 10mm is permissible underneath a fire door bottom, but if the building regulations required that smoke protection is required, then the maximum gap underneath the door bottom reduces to 3mm. In this situation, RESSA has some designed automatic door sweep for fire door drop sealing to maintain the integrity of the fire door.
